Paige Townsend

About Me!

My name is Paige. I am currently a 3rd year Informatics major at UC Irvine specializing in HCI. I love learning about user experience design and web development! I am particularly interested in creating accessible and inclusive digital experiences.

Through both researching with Professor Stacy Branham and Professor Jennifer Wong-ma with INsite Lab as well as working as a Digital Accessibilty Consultant with DASH (Digital Accessibility Support and Help) has offered me plenty of oppurtunities to learn about WCAG principles, ADA regulations, and inclusive design practices.

Outside of academics, I enjoy musical theatre, collecting Legos and Peach Riot figures, and travelling with friends and family. I have spent a lot of time exploring new interests through my positions in Hack at UCI and VenusHacks as well as various radio experiences with KUCI.

Diectic Dashboard is a professor facing tool designed to identify and flag inaccessible language used during lectures, supporting blind and remote students.

Quizlet Redesign

A redesign of Quizlet which adds a student verification feature to the search functionality, enabling users to find accurate study sets more quickly through a more efficient and user centered experience.
